BAKER, MICHAEL JAMES
Mike Baker, 60, of Sherwood, died unexpectedly on Tuesday, February 2, 2010. Mike was born on August 11, 1949, in Milwaukee to the late James and Estella (Fitzpatrick) Baker. He proudly served his country in the U. S. Army during the war in Vietnam. Mike continued to serve his country as a technician with the VA Zablocki Medical Center in Milwaukee for over 25 years. He was a volunteer for Meals on Wheels and Rebuilding Together Fox Valley. Mike was always ready to lend a hand to anyone that needed it. He loved fishing, hunting turkey and deer, and playing cards—especially Sheepshead. Mike spent many vacations traveling throughout Mexico and Up North with his wife. He is survived by his loving wife, Kathy; daughter, Wendy (Mark) Neuok; step-sons, Matt (Cheryl) Lemerond, Nick and Tyler Lemerond; sisters, Mary (Scott) Ruehle, Margie (Steve) Trojanowski, Barbara (Phil) Prozen, Kathleen (Paul) Clavette; his brother, Tom Baker; his in-laws, Marvin (Sandy) Rose, Ruth Rose, Steve (Faye ) Rose, Jeff (Lori) Rose, Brad (Laurel) Rose, Scott (Tina) Rose and Melissa Grignon; and many nieces and nephews. Mike loved his eleven beautiful grandchildren: Jozie and Jocelynn Slade; Monica, Paul and Abby Neuok; Merissa, Cassandra, Matthew, Luke, Hailey and Bella Lemerond—and they loved their grandpa dearly. He was preceded in death by his son, Daniel; and two brothers, Patrick and Dennis Baker. Funeral services will be at 4:30 p.m. on Sunday, February 7, 2010, at CHRIST THE ROCK COMMUNITY CHURCH, W6254 Highway 10-114, Menasha, with Rev. Ben Lenz officiating.
